I’ve always had a thing for technology and coding - ever since I was 7 and had my first experience with Visual Basic 6. The same cannot be said about snowboarding, which I acquired an interest for shortly after I finished college.
I believe that technology carries the power to make everyone’s life simpler. Above all, it’s able to empower people to spend time in meaningful ways by reducing the need for people to spend said time doing menial tasks. This is probably one of the reason why I am passionate about automation and anything that has to do with processes that machines can do better than humans.
After graduating Wichita State University, I started my full-time job as a program manager at Microsoft, building the centralized technical documentation platform. My focus is primarlily on delivering a world-class API documentation and code sample experience - I’ve helped ship every API Browser experience we have, and continue working on automation infrastructure behind the scenes. Before joining Microsoft full-time in 2014, I’ve interned as a program manager in the Office division as well as engineered demo projects in Developer Platform Evangelism.
I started this site as a hobby project in 2010, to document my life and learnings, and have continued doing so at random intervals. My goal is to continue expanding it with quality content (which, to be fair, might also mean I won’t post here too often).
When I am not coding or discussing the intricacies of technical specifications with team partners, I am enjoying spending my time with my wife and our puppy, slightly north of Washington State. Those times together are usually accompanied by soundtracks from Drake and miscellaneous Coldplay tracks.
Curious about the gear I use to be productive? Check out the page dedicated just to that topic.
